I am an artist, based out of Santa Cruz, and have been lucky to illustrate communities from around
California, this year I am excited to start off the 2026/27 season by including Westside, Santa Cruz,
in a portfolio of California’s most interesting neighborhoods, cities and regions
I have illustrated over the last 25 years.

The Westside of Santa Cruz is a vibrant, highly desirable coastal neighborhood stretching west of
the San Lorenzo River to the edge of the city limits and the campus of UCSC.
Famed for its surf culture, dramatic ocean bluffs, craft breweries, proximity to
the University of California, Santa Cruz, it blends a laid-back beach culture with bustling local commerce
The Westside features a vibrant, walkable commercial hub—particularly around the Swift Street and Ingalls Street courtyards—transformed from old industrial warehouses into a thriving lifestyle and craft district booming with food, music,wine, beer, coffee, bike trails, surf shops and so much more.
The Westside is the heart of the local surf culture and the wellspring of the distinctive Santa Cruz vibe.
The typical neighborhood mix on the Westside consists of native Santa Cruzans,
transplants that have become locals and, during the school year, students from UC Santa Cruz.
Along with great coffee, the Westside Santa Cruz, is a neighborhood known for its
laid-back, culture and its proximity to many of the area’s natural attractions.

The poster will be used as a promotional tool over the next 2 years. The 23″ X 33″ posters will be distributed in local stores, visitor centers and venues at key locations throughout Santa Cruz County over the next 2 years. The poster will also be distributed by sponsors and available online.
